In recent years, the META POWER has become a benchmark in the EMTB market.
Our POWER is now available in two versions:
– The META POWER SX – With it’s different sized wheels and long travel, the POWER SX represents pure performance. A monster on technical climbs and with a disconcerting ability downhill. If you like to ride up what you come down then this is your new best friend! This bike helps the rider through difficult sections and makes finding flow where there shouldn’t be any, easy!
– The META POWER TR – Simply our version of what the TRAIL should be. Go up, down, jump, play, over and over again. This is the lively and responsive POWER that we wanted, the perfect bike to have fun on the majority of trails around the globe. With less travel, it gains in precision and playfulness and is ideal for long and undulating missions!
On a different note, we also offer the MAXMAX POWER, a semi-rigid EMTB that is as capable as a commuter bike as it is off the beaten track, whenever the opportunity arises.
For the young ones we have the META HT 24 POWER. Much more than simply an e-bike with a small frame, it features top-end components that are best adapted to their body shape. It opens the door to real family adventures!
This year again, we trust SHIMANO for all the electrical parts on our e-bikes.

The META POWER TR is quite simply our version of what Trail really means; up, down, jump, play and repeat, again and again. We’ve concentrated on three main areas – liveliness, responsiveness and agility. It’s the perfect bike to get the most fun out of on the majority of trails around the world! With 150mm travel on the front and 140mm on the back, it’s made for those who believe that having a playful bike whatever the terrain is the most important thing!
As an EMTB and Gravity brand, we know that it is essential to collaborate with recognised component specialists. Equipping the META POWER 29 with the SHIMANO EP8 engine was therefore an obvious choice. Why?
– It has a high torque (85N.m) whilst power curves are optimised.
– The result is a softer bike for better grip control and more responsiveness to each pedal stroke.
– The 630Wh battery increases capacity tenfold, perfect for long days.
– The position of the engine is designed to be lower than the battery to the maximum and optimise weight distribution.
This META POWER TR marks a real difference with the META POWER. With this in mind, the geometry has been specifically studied with regards to the intended use of the bike:
– The seat angle (77.5°) and the steerer angle (64.5°) are relatively straight.
– The position is ideal for pedalling and tackling the most technical climbs.
In addition, our expertise in the field of suspension in recent years has allowed us to articulate the kinematics of the META POWER TR around the Contact System -4bar linkage- which is designed to offer:
– Liveliness and efficiency when pedalling.
– Precise touchdown.
– Comfort.
– Reduced fatigue on big impacts.
In addition to all this in-depth work, like on our META POWER TR, META SX and CLASH bikes, we now offer a Flip Chip on the shock absorber extension in order to more acutely adjust the geometry, and therefore fit your personal style! This system means you can influence the height of the bottom bracket as well as the steerer and saddle angles within seconds. Depending on what you want, effectively, you can choose between a lively bike perfect for big pedalling missions, or more progressive bike ideal for days in bike park or on more committed lines.
The finishes on this POWER TR have also been worked on with care. Details make the difference:
– The motor mount has incorporated one of the advantages of the new EP8: its reduced size.
– The engine protection has high impact resistance and it’s even better integrated into the general line of the bike thanks to a right side engine protection specific to META POWER.
– The charging connection is on the motor mount for easy access.
– The new more compact chain guide is also directly fixed to the engine mount.
– The routing on the chain stays has been reworked to avoid friction with frame paint.

About the META POWER TR SIGNATURE KESWICK GREEN
This Keswick Green finish of our SIGNATURE model matches perfectly with the Kashima coating of its FOX components.
On this version of our META POWER TR, you’ll find the best combo of components on the market from the likes of FOX, SHIMANO and DT SWISS. The new SHIMANO EP8 motor and 630Wh battery significantly increase the POWER capabilities. It features the new FOX 36 Factory 150mm fork with 36mm diameter stanchions as well as the Float DPX2 shock on the back. This combo is the brand’s finest performance suspension set-up in the e-bike category. Numerous hydraulic adjustment settings will satisfy the most demanding riders. It also features the SHIMANO XT 12-speed drivetrain and SHIMANO XT 4-piston brakes. The Japanese brand is known for their reliability, easy maintenance and ultra-performance. We also opted for short 160mm cranks to make pedalling up steeper trails easier thanks to more ground clearance. Finally, there’s the new DT SWISS HX1700 e-bike specific wheels which bring performance, strength and reliability.

META POWER bikes are delivered with Shimano Europlug (CEE 7/7 norm) battery charger, a plug adapter is necessary for customers living in countries using different standards.
In partnership with SHIMANO, COMMENCAL supports a voluntary battery recycling program for ebike batteries. For each META POWER sold COMMENCAL will contribute 7EUR to fundraising organisation COREPILE. This sum is paid through SHIMANO France. When your battery reaches the end of its life, it would be great if you could send it back to us for recycling. Contact us for more info on the procedure.
